The origins of Rome are blurry at best and all we really have to go on are the legends reported by Roman Historian Livy. They speak of two brothers (Romulus and Remus) who after being abandoned at birth were raised by wolves. Upon returning to the city of Alba Longa, they took vengeance upon the king and usurped him. But only one brother could be king.
