Europe’s elites are done pretending.

In Davos, Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez didn’t deliver a speech – he served a threat: end online anonymity or be treated like a criminal. He demanded that every social-media account in the EU be forcibly welded to the new EU Digital Identity Wallet. No mask online. No privacy online. No dissent without your real name and government-verified ID attached.

And of course, all of this was sold under the sacred trinity of modern political manipulation:

  • disinformation
  • hate speech
  • public safety

The ritual never changes: invent a danger → demand more surveillance → call it ”democracy”.

This time the target isn’t criminals.
It’s everyone.

The Road to Digital Serfdom: Sánchez’s Three Commandments

From the marble halls of Davos, Sánchez issued edicts like a man who believes he should be obeyed:

  1. Expose your algorithms
  2. Punish the CEOs
  3. Abolish anonymity

No nuance.
No debate.
Just the announcement that your opinions are no longer yours unless you sign them with a state-issued digital passport.

He compared anonymous speech to ”walking the streets with a mask” – an absurd metaphor that reveals the whole plan.
The street he imagines isn’t public space. It’s a police zone.

The EU Digital Identity Wallet: Your Life, in a Box You Don’t Control

The EU Identity Wallet is marketed as convenience.
What it actually is: a master key to everything you do.

Inside it:

  • ID
  • passport
  • driver’s license
  • banking credentials
  • diplomas
  • signatures
  • eventually, your money

It is the dream of every bureaucrat who secretly envies China’s social-credit machinery but insists ”Europe would never do that”.

Pilot projects are underway across 26 countries.
Finland is already building its version and promises rollout by the end of 2026.
The machinery is not hypothetical – it is humming.

Add the Digital Euro and You Have the Perfect Control Grid

While this new identity regime takes shape, the ECB is pushing its own creation: the digital euro.

Once these two systems – identity and currency – merge, the consequences write themselves:

  • every payment is traceable
  • every transaction is revocable
  • every activity is linkable to your opinions
  • every opinion can have consequences

No need for explicit censorship.
You just adjust the ”trust score”, tweak the algorithm, nudge the wallet, throttle the payments.

Soft totalitarianism is better than hard totalitarianism – it’s cleaner, quieter, easier to deny.

The Elite Loves Transparency – When It’s Yours, Not Theirs

Here’s the punchline:

The same EU leadership that demands your total transparency cannot even keep track of its own text messages.

Pfizergate revealed everything:

  • Ursula von der Leyen negotiated a 1.8-billion-dose vaccine deal via SMS
  • Journalists requested the messages
  • The Commission claimed they ”disappeared”
  • In 2025, the EU General Court ruled the Commission’s behaviour unlawful

So here we are:

  • you must tie your social-media likes to your legal identity
  • she can negotiate multi-billion contracts on disappearing texts

This isn’t hypocrisy.
It’s hierarchy.
A doctrine: transparency downward, immunity upward.

If Sánchez Wins, This Is Your Future

1. Social media = state-monitored ID portal

No EU wallet → no account.
Speech becomes licensed behaviour.

2. Dissent becomes a measurable risk factor

Algorithms already manipulate visibility.
Next, they will evaluate ”trustworthiness”.
A low score becomes a modern blight: travel issues, financial friction, job discrimination.

3. Payments become penalties

A digital euro tied to your identity means:

  • warnings
  • spending caps
  • frozen accounts
  • revoked discounts
  • automated penalties

Who needs police when software can do the job?

4. Compliance becomes the new citizenship

You don’t need to arrest people who disagree with you.
You just make their lives harder until they shut up.

What If You Refuse?

The EU repeats the same soothing lie:
It’s voluntary.

Reality says:

  • If big platforms require the wallet → it becomes mandatory.
  • If banks require it → it becomes mandatory.
  • If eIDAS2 evolves one more step → it becomes mandatory by law.

Voluntary systems have a habit of mutating into obligations.
Ask anyone who lived through the ”temporary measures” of 2020.

The Line Is in Front of Us – Step Over It, and It Vanishes

Democracy means:

  • citizen privacy
  • government transparency

What the EU is building flips the model:

  • citizen transparency
  • government opacity

And once your identity, money, and opinions are packaged in one digital box controlled by institutions that lose billion-euro SMS messages like pocket lint?

You’re not a citizen anymore.
You’re a managed asset.

”Big Ursula” doesn’t need boots, batons, or barbed wire.
She only needs one thing: your phone.
